In Sanskrit the throat is called Vishudda. In Hinduism and Buddhism, the energy centers, or chakras, are where the physical and spiritual connect.
Vishudda governs the mouth, tongue, and neck. It relates to your ability to understand and speak your truth purely.
The throat chakra is one of the most challenging chakra’s to work with, especially for women. When this chakra is fully opened, it radiates an electric blue aura around the person...this is also why the Hindu God’s like Krishna, Vishnu, and Shiva are depicted as blue: their skin color wasn’t blue, but their aura was. Much of what the western world has been taught about Chakra’s has been borrowed and watered down from the Hindu mystics and yogi’s who’ve been practicing and working with these energy centers for thousands of years.
